Balconies are one of the most-used parts of a Bangalore home, and also one of the most common places accidents happen. Here are five practical reasons homeowners are moving from bulky traditional grills to invisible cable grills.
Traditional grills use thick metal bars that block a real portion of your view. Invisible grills use thin, high-tensile cables that are barely visible from a few feet away, so the balcony feels open rather than caged in.
The cables are tensioned and anchored to handle meaningful load, not just decorative — this is what makes them suitable for homes with young children, pets or elderly family members who spend time on the balcony.
Because the grill itself nearly disappears visually, it suits contemporary apartment and villa architecture far better than a boxed-in traditional grill, which can look dated on a newer building.
Good-quality stainless steel cable with a protective coating doesn't need repainting the way MS (mild steel) grills eventually do. An occasional wipe-down is usually enough.
Thin cables with proper spacing let air and light through far more freely than a solid or heavily-barred traditional grill, which can make a balcony feel closed-in.
